Time to catch up
At Lakwijk Kunststoffen BV, we never close our doors during the summer.
Whilst our specialists are able to plan their holidays flexibly throughout the year, our production continues to run non-stop.
This calls for tight logistics, as reduced staffing levels over a longer period – even outside school holidays – is a reality for us.
Thanks to extensive automation and robotisation, as well as cross-training and job rotation, we manage this impact effectively. This year, however, our order book was so full that it was incredibly busy; a fantastic ‘luxury problem’, but there was no chance of getting ahead with work.
Now that the market is back in full swing, whilst our last holidaymakers are still enjoying their time off, September presents a welcome challenge for our planning. A challenge we are tackling with both hands and full confidence.
Meanwhile, we are looking ahead. Our plans for the next year and a half are concrete; we will continue to invest in our technical capabilities, production capacity, labour productivity and further robotisation.
These are wonderful prospects, and we look forward to sharing them with you in the coming months!
