Plastics in construction

Where traditional materials such as stone, steel, glass and wood fall short, plastics often provide a solution. They are lightweight, do not absorb moisture, cannot rot, are impact-resistant or even unbreakable, are UV-resistant and easy to process. Custom plastic solutions are used, for example, as glazing, sills, thermal breaks, façade cladding, spacers, guides for sliding or rolling doors, and much more. The advantage is that there are also many other applications that you may still envision, possibly in consultation with us.

Plastics in interior construction

Interior construction is a broad concept. A private interior differs from a retail interior. The interior of public buildings is different again. There are also company canteens, penitentiary institutions, hospitals, care homes, psychiatric institutions, shipbuilding and offices, for example.

The use of plastics can be chosen for reasons of functionality, appearance, cost savings or, for example, safety. Plastics (acrylic / Plexiglas) are often used in lighting applications, such as LED strips where a specific diffusion is required or, conversely, transparent colours. Ensuring that a (public) interior is safe and “vandal-proof” can also be achieved through the use of unbreakable and non-flammable plastics such as polycarbonate in safety glazing, transparent covers or protective screens.
