Accurate planning is fundamental to our process
In this part of our process series, we explain the steps between technical advice and the creation of a product: quotation, delivery-time planning and order processing.
We prepare quotations carefully and quickly. Customers often need our quotation for their own calculations, so clear communication and fast response are essential. A quotation is based on a material choice and dimensions, or a drawing of the product to be manufactured. The structure depends on series size and customer requirements. Delivery time is usually important. Short lead times and high delivery reliability are crucial.
Accurate planning is essential. When possible, we build in scheduling flexibility, but we must also be able to handle urgent orders. Planning relies on accurate cost calculation, material stock management, production flexibility, data analysis and forecasting.
Following up on quotations can be useful, but should never feel like pressure to the customer. We therefore do this selectively — for example when a quotation is extensive or when delivery time appears critical.
Once an order is placed, the confirmation is sent immediately. If anything deviates, it will always have been discussed in advance.
