Protective covers for ProRail
In collaboration with ProRail, we developed protective covers for route displays a few years ago. We were recently asked again to produce new, crystal-clear and unbreakable polycarbonate covers for them.
This reduces damage caused by vandalism and ensures that screens remain protected so travellers are not inconvenienced.
Lakwijk Kunststoffen manufactures products from technical plastics as well as transparent plastics such as acrylic, PETG and polycarbonate.
From polycarbonate we produce protective covers like these, as well as machine guards or screens for other applications, using milling, bending and bonding techniques. Safety glazing is another ideal application.
Polycarbonate has excellent flame-retardant properties and is the only transparent plastic that retains its properties down to -30°C. It is also 250 times more impact-resistant than glass of the same thickness.
