Industrial plastics

Plastics are used in industrial applications because of their intrinsic qualities. The technical properties: wear resistance, chemical resistance, weight, temperature resistance, impact resistance, flexibility and, for example, sliding properties, determine the choice of plastic and which type of plastic. Traditional materials such as wood, metal, aluminum and glass are still being replaced by plastics.

Advanced Engineering Plastics

In addition to the traditional industrial plastics (General Engineering Plastics, abbreviated: GEP) such as HMPE, PA, POM and PETP, there are also more advanced materials. These are the Advanced Engineering Plastics, abbreviated: AEP.

Transparent and beautiful plastics

Several plastics are available in a transparent version. PVC and Polystyrene are available in transparent versions, but the most common plastics that are used in transparent versions are Polycarbonate, Acrylic and PETG. These materials are often the alternative to glass. Transparent plastics are impact-resistant or even unbreakable, lightweight, easy to bend hot or cold, flexible and, in the case of PVC, good chemical resistance.

Construction plastics

The construction plastics PVC, HPE, PP and PVDF are very chemically resistant and can be welded very well. That is why the use of these materials often focuses on liquid-tight structures. The mentioned materials PVC, HPE, PP and PVDF are mainly used for equipment construction.

Recycled plastics

Plastics have an image problem, for example due to the plastic soup in our oceans. However, plastic is in many cases a more environmentally friendly choice than the alternative and developments in recycling and making products biodegradable are moving fast.

Delivery program

By adding various additives, such as MoS2 - oil - wax - glass, various plastics can be supplied in a modified version. These versions are not mentioned in the overview. We are happy to provide material advice for your specific application.
