Material in the spotlight: Ertalon™ 6 XAU

Ertalon 6 XAU+ is a heat-stabilized, cast polyamide with a very dense and highly crystalline structure. Compared to conventional extruded and cast polyamides, or nylons, Ertalon 6 XAU offers superior heat-aging performance in air (better resistance to thermo-oxidative degradation), enabling this material to perform at higher continuous operating temperatures. Due to these properties, Ertalon 6 XAU+ components are often recommended for bearings and other mechanical parts subject to wear and used for long periods at temperatures above 60°C.
